The Company:

Anadolu Meat started in 1994 from a small butcher shop in Istedgade, Copenhagen and the target group was private customers, who required Halal meat and the cuts/qualities they knew from their home country.

Later the group of customers included many pizzerias and these were asking for special cuts. Therefore a production of beef-strips from flank steaks, minced meat and beef cut was started.

The assortment and the target group developed during the years with the result that the company chose to concentrate on catering sales and therefore sold the retail shops.

With this decision followed the purchase of the land in Smørum, where a new domicile was built, so that production, warehouse and administration could be in one location. The 1300 m2 were opened on May 10th, 2003.

With the new factory the assortment and the customer was extended considerably and Anadolu today offers a wide and deep assortment within beef, lamb, poultry, döner kebab, convenience food, pizza toppings from own production as well as a large assortment of goods of own import.

The company is also active in Poland with own factory, which is the leading producer of Döner Kebab. As the demand for kebab is increasing in Poland as well as Denmark, a piece of land has been bought to build a new factory of around 3000 m2. This factory will be the leading with this segment in Poland. The new facilities are expected to be opened on January 1st, 2010.
